Our company is built upon the marine resources that the ocean provides us with. We only work with partners certified with the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC). Our ingredient products are all MSC and “Friends of the Sea” certified.

Vesteraalens AS is unique to the whole industry in our effort to integrate the whole value chain, from the production of fish food products to highly specific marine ingredients. As a modern company today we are proud of our history of more than 100 years, but also strongly committed to preserve the natural gifts of the area and in particular of the Arctic cod in the best possibly way.
The overall target at Vesteraalens is to make a most ethical use of almost every part of the landed fish and having the smallest amount of side- or waste streams. In the last two years we significantly extended and upgraded our own production facilities, enabling us for the most efficient and highly computerised fileting and loin-cutting for fish food production.
