LOCALIZED IN A UNIQUE ECOSYSTEM
Every year in winter, between January and April, the coastal waters of Northern Norway thrives with life, when Skrei (Gadus morhua) travels from the Barents Sea to its spawning grounds. 60% of the Norwegian cod is harvested in the waters surrounding Vesteraalens production facilities.
Vesteraalen’s factory is located in the middle of Sortland harbor, the hub in Vesterålen. The raw material is delivered from local fish reception sites in a short radius from our facilities. This gives us access to the world’s best raw material.
